Clinics and Services
In addition to our normal appointments, we provide the following services, some of which other surgeries can also refer patients to:
- Chronic disease clinics such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease and COPD
- Antenatal and postnatal care
- Contraceptive coil and implant clinics
- Childhood Immunisations and travel vaccinations
- Minor surgery, including BCC excision and carpal tunnel releases
- Specialist GP cardiology service
Cervical Screening: Smear Tests
Women aged between 24 and 64 should have a cervical screening every 3 to 5 years to help prevent cervical cancer. The screening is quick and painless and can be done here in the practice.
If you are aged over 24 and have never had a smear test, or if it has been more than 3 to 5 years since your last screening, you should arrange an appointment with our Practice Nurse. You should not have the test while you are having a period or in the 4 days before or after your period as this can affect the sample.

Nurse Clinics
The nursing team at Snodland have a wide range of skills and run special clinics for management of diabetes, asthma and COPD as well as contraception and wound dressings.
Additionally our nurses are trained to treat minor illnesses and injuries. Some of the ailments the nurses can deal with are as follows:
- Cystitis, urine infection
- Ear infections
- Eye infections
- Boils, abscesses, cellulitis and skin infections
- Ingrowing toenails
- Hay fever
- Sore throat, Tonsillitis
Quit Smoking
If you want to stop smoking you can makean appointment to discuss options with your doctor but to have the best chance of successfully quitting you should use the local stop smoking clinic.
